Lunch Date with the Future

“Our children today, our future tomorrow”
What is Lunch Date With The Future?

The Lunch Date with the Future Program was founded on a simple idea: given the right tools, anyone can succeed. There is no reason why every student can not go on to have a successful life and career, no matter their past, and there is no reason why they shouldn’t start learning about life after school at an early age. Teaching Fourth and Fifth Grade students about manners, business etiquette, and the right topics for discussion at the table opens up many conversations that they will have throughout their most impressionable years. Our program administrator, Kelly Elias, develops the curriculum each year, educates the children, and works with community volunteers to ensure the program operates smoothly.

Fire Prevention In Our Public Schools

Dyeco Insurance has distributed fire prevention coloring activity Workbooks to over 70,000 K-5 elementary students of Chesterfield, Dinwiddie and Patrick Henry Elementary School of The Arts and Sciences. Dyeco partners with Erie Insurance to promote a community Fire Safety Program. Through Erie’s generous donation, thousands of children will receive valuable information concerning fire safety that may one day save lives and avoid a tragedy.

MDA Car Show With the Southern Knights Cruisers

Dyeco Insurance is proud to partner with The Southern Knights Cruisers car club each August in one of the great custom and collectible car shows on the Virginia scene. The event which is held annually on the beautiful grounds of Richard Bland College, Petersburg Va., culminates the seasons fund raising activities to find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy and support the children who bear the burden of this debilitating disease.

Dyeco in partnership with Hagerty Collectible Automobile Insurance promotes youth involvement in the custom / collectible car hobby each year at the MDA show. The Children Car Judging is a popular and growing event in which the young participants are given official hats, shirts, badges and clip boards and then sent out to evaluate up ten to fifteen fabulous cars. They rate the engine, the interior, the paint job and even the horn. When the results are all tallied, a plaque is awarded to the best car in each catagory during the awards ceremony. These junior judges do a great job and have tons of fun. Spectator admission is free to the show which is being held August 13th 2011. The non stop excitement starts around 9am and wraps up at 4pm. Hardies supplies the good food and Wolfman John plays the oldies for dancing until you drop.

Bring the family and enjoy a great day for a good cause.
